What Velin is, and is not

Velin keeps and displays your lab and blood test reports, and shows results beside data from Apple Health. It does not give medical advice, diagnose, or interpret results. It shows the values, ranges and flags as the lab printed them, and nothing that judges a value. Talk to a doctor or other qualified person about what your results mean. Never delay or skip care because of something in, or missing from, Velin.

Reading your reports

Velin reads reports on your iPhone. Reading is automatic and can make mistakes: a digit, a unit or a range can be read wrongly, a line can be missed, and a photo can be unclear. Velin marks readings it is unsure about and keeps your original file one tap away. Please check anything that matters against the original report before you rely on it or share it.

Your records

Your reports, results and notes belong to you and stay on your iPhone. We have no account for you and cannot see, recover or delete your records. If you delete the app, erase everything in Settings, or lose your iPhone without a backup, they are gone. Make an encrypted backup file in Settings to keep a copy. How we handle information is described in the privacy policy.

Sharing

Sharing is always your choice. When you make a PDF, CSV, health records file or backup, or show a screen to someone, what you send and who receives it is up to you. Once a file leaves your iPhone, we can't control it.

Velin Plus

Velin is free for up to 3 reports. Velin Plus unlocks unlimited reports and everything else the app offers. Plus is sold through the App Store in three ways:

• Yearly: 24.99 US dollars a year (local prices vary), with a free trial of 7 days for new subscribers. The subscription renews every year unless you cancel.
• Monthly: 3.99 US dollars a month (local prices vary). It renews every month unless you cancel.
• Lifetime: a single payment of 59.99 US dollars (local prices vary), with no renewal.

Payment is taken by Apple from your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless you turn off renewal at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. If you start the free trial and don't cancel at least 24 hours before it ends, you will be charged for the first year. You can manage or cancel a subscription in Settings on your iPhone, under your name, then Subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel it. Refunds are handled by Apple under its own rules. You can restore a purchase on a new iPhone with the same Apple Account from the Plus screen in Velin. Lifetime and subscriptions can be shared with your family through Family Sharing where Apple allows it.

Fair use

Use Velin for your own records and those of family members you look after. Don't try to take the app apart, copy it, resell it or use it in a way that breaks the law.

Changes to the app and to these terms

We may change or stop features, and we may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change is significant we will say so in the app. Using Velin after a change means you accept it.

Our responsibility

We try to make Velin accurate and reliable, but we give it to you as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for losses that come from relying on a reading, from a mistake in reading a report, from lost data, or from medical decisions made using the app. Nothing here limits rights you have under the law where you live that can't be limited, or our responsibility for things the law doesn't let us exclude. These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, and the courts of Singapore have jurisdiction, except where the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim in your own courts.
