Turi guide
Apple Watch meditation with the iPhone kept silent
Run the session on your Apple Watch and let it tap your wrist at each change, so nothing needs to ring or chime.
Your iPhone can stay quiet on the table, and your eyes can stay closed from the first step to the last.
Why taps instead of sounds
A sound ends a quiet step for everyone in the room, and a screen asks you to open your eyes to see where you are. A tap on the wrist does neither.
How it works in Turi
- Choose a practice on your iPhone and tap Begin, or begin it with Siri or the Action button on Apple Watch Ultra.
- Your Watch takes over. Rest your wrist and close your eyes.
- At every new step your Watch taps. Choose Standard or Strong taps.
- If you want to know where you are, the Watch can tap out the step number.
A paced breath step taps each change of breath. While the Watch guides, your iPhone rings no bells unless you want one.
If the Watch goes quiet
Your iPhone carries on, so the session is never lost.
How Turi does it
- Your Watch taps at each step; your iPhone stays quiet.
- Standard or Strong taps, and the step number tapped out on request.
- Follow your step on the Lock Screen, in the Dynamic Island and in StandBy if you do open your eyes.
Turi: Silent Meditation is on the App Store for iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch. Free to download, with 14 days of everything free.
Questions
Will my iPhone make any sound?
Not while the Watch guides, unless you choose to have a bell. You can also leave it on silent.
Can I hear a bell too?
Yes. A soft bell is there if you want one, and bells and bowls are made to ring and fade naturally.
What if I want to see my step?
Follow it on the Lock Screen, in the Dynamic Island and in StandBy, or on your Watch.
