Seedly's expense tracker has closed: how to rebuild your spending history
The Seedly app, with its expense tracking and budgeting, was discontinued on 31 December 2025, and Seedly said it would delete expense data after 31 March 2026.
Your bank still has a copy of every transaction in your e-statements, so you can rebuild the same history from those, by hand or with an app that reads them.
What Seedly changed
Seedly announced the app's discontinuation in February 2026, to focus on new tools under MoneyHero Group. Its website and community carry on, with profiles, posts, reviews and rewards still there. Seedly's notice doesn't describe a way to export expenses, so most people have no file to move anywhere.
Where your history still is
Your e-statements. They list every card payment, GIRO bill, PayNow transfer and NETS QR payment at the amount the bank charged, which makes them a more complete record than anything typed in by hand.
- DBS and POSB keep e-statements for 7 years from when you signed up for them.
- UOB keeps them for up to 5 years from when you subscribed.
- OCBC shows up to 3 years of past documents from July 2026, rising to 5 years by 2028.
Download the months you want before the oldest ones fall out of that window.
Rebuild it
- Download your e-statements for every card and account you used (see the guide to DBS, OCBC and UOB below).
- Turn them into spending: copy the lines into a spreadsheet and total them by category and month, or add them to an app that reads statements.
- If you kept a spreadsheet alongside Seedly, keep it. It fills in cash spending your bank never saw.
How Tallied does it
- Rebuilds your spending month by month from past e-statements, on your iPhone. A line like POS NETS QR PAYMENT TO: KOPI STALL becomes Kopi Stall under Cafés & coffee (an invented example).
- Bring your own spreadsheet (CSV or Excel) too: it needs a date, a description and an amount (or money in / money out).
- PayNow and NETS QR payments to shops count as spending, and money you move between your own accounts or to your PayLah! wallet isn't counted twice.
- Your statements never leave your iPhone; only a shop's name is looked up. No bank login, no account.
Tallied is on the Singapore App Store for iPhone and iPad. 7 days free, then S$6.99 a month or S$59.99 a year.
Questions
Can Tallied import my Seedly data?
No. Tallied reads bank and card e-statements and your own spreadsheets, not Seedly's data. Your statements carry the same transactions.
Is my Seedly expense data still available?
Seedly said expense tracking data would be permanently deleted after 31 March 2026. For anything else, Seedly's own support is the place to ask.
Which banks can Tallied read?
Tallied reads PDF e-statements from Singapore banks and cards, credit cards and savings accounts alike. It's been checked most on DBS/POSB; if a statement from your bank doesn't come in, Settings › Statements folder › Check every statement says why.
What does Tallied cost?
7 days free, then S$6.99 a month or S$59.99 a year, on the Singapore App Store.
